What we do and how we do it

International assignments comprise labor, social security, financial, tax, migration and exchange aspects that involve different areas of a company. Those who are responsible for the management of these assignments, though no experts in each area, may acquire the necessary skills to know when it is necessary to seek advice and who is able to provide any such advice; if the proper treatment is being applied to all the aspects of an assignment; and what should be considered in every new assignment in order to avoid unnecessary costs or contingencies.

Having these skills will help them address questions raised by expatriates and ease their own workload, while remaining confident that everything is being properly handled. For that purpose, we offer the following services.

Training

We provide companies and consulting firms with training in international assignments from a labor, tax, social security, migration and exchange perspective. We personally assist people who work in this area with their daily duties, while facilitating learning on the basis of practice.

Advisory services

We provide advisory services in order to ensure proper management of international assignments and other related issues. Likewise, we offer assistance with the preparation and review of international assignment policies.


Compliance

We provide tax and social security compliance services related to international assignments (inbounds/outbounds) both from the employees’ and the company’s perspective, and in the light of international assignment policies.

Director

Certified Public Accountant (graduated from Universidad de Buenos Aires). More than 18-year experience in expatriate-related matters, with a focus on advisory services and training. She has worked in three of the Big Four companies: Ernst & Young, formerly Arthur Andersen, (1990-2000); Deloitte (2000-2010) and KPMG (2010-2015), providing advisory services to multinational companies and giving internal, external and regional training.

Mission

Our mission is to provide advisory services in connection with the wide variety of matters associated with international assignments, applying the most appropriate and effective treatment. But our main purpose is to share our knowledge through tailored training courses for personnel of different companies and/or consulting firms, so that they may handle international assignments in a successful manner.

Experience

We have more than 18-year experience in expatriate-related matters, including the provision of advisory services to multinational companies with diverse international assignment policies and in different situations. We have a proven track record of providing tailored and comprehensive services, with an efficient solution-oriented approach.

FOR COMPANIES

Training courses on international assignments covering labor, tax, social security, migration and exchange matters may be as follows:

  General training.
  On-site specialized training, at the company’s request.
  Tailored training, consists in assisting people who work in the area of international assignments with the performance of their duties. This training course is focused on the daily tasks of each head of area, enabling them to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills on the basis of their own practice.


FOR CONSULTING FIRMS

For the purposes that own resources may be exclusively focused on daily tasks, we provide training services covering, among others, the following issues:

  Residence for income tax purposes.
  Domicile for wealth tax purposes.
  Evaluation of double taxation treaties on income tax.
  Application of totalization agreements and/or social security exemptions.
  Hypothetical tax calculation and tax reconciliation.
  Cost projections.
  Shadow Payroll.
  Tax and social security treatment applicable to stock incentives.
  Regional positions.
  Expatriates’ income tax and wealth tax returns.

Training courses designed according to the level of experience of participants may be as follows:

Whenever tax regulations are unknown to employees, they seek advice from areas of the company that deal with accounting and tax matters. In such cases, our training services are focused on personal deductions (Form F. 572 - SIRADIG software) and on income tax and wealth tax returns for information purposes.

ADVISORY SERVICES


OUR SERVICES INCLUDE:


  Analysis of the proper treatment applicable from a migration, labor, tax, social security and exchange perspective, in order to ensure that international assignments are efficiently structured. This analysis covers the application of double taxation treaties and totalization agreements, as well as the application of social security exemptions.
  Assistance with the analysis and implementation of the company’s international assignment policies.
  Ongoing advice on tax, social security and exchange matters concerning international assignments.
  Tax and social security advisory services regarding Head Office stock incentives.

COMPLIANCE


OUR SERVICES INCLUDE:


  Entrance/ exit meetings, aimed at personally providing expatriates with information on their tax and social security status upon an international assignment.
  Preparation and filing of expatriates’ income tax and wealth tax returns.
  Registrations and deregistrations with the Argentine tax authorities (AFIP).
  Reductions in income tax and wealth tax advances.
  Assistance with tax audits performed by the AFIP on expatriates.
  Shadow payroll calculation for the purposes of complying with the company’s obligations as income tax and social security withholding agent. These services include the preparation of form F. 649.
  Preparation of e-form F.572 (SIRADIG software).
  Hypothetical tax calculation.
  Income tax equalization calculation.
  Wealth tax equalization calculation.
  Annual cost projections calculation.
